Privacy Policy for keyboard2

The short version: keyboard2 is built to work fully offline. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data, and we have no servers that keyboard2 sends your typing to — because it doesn't send it anywhere. Anything the keyboard learns to improve predictions is stored only in a private container on your own device.

Interpretation and Definitions

The words below have the same meaning whether used in the singular or plural.

Application means the software described in this policy, named keyboard2, including its keyboard extension and its companion settings app.
Company ("We", "Us", "Our") refers to TechAmigos OÜ, Valukoja tn 8/2, Estonia.
Device means any device you use to access the Application, such as an iPhone or iPad.
Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
You means the individual using the Application.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, and the Application does not transmit to us or to any third party:

Anything you type, including messages, passwords, or search terms
Your name, email address, or other contact details
Your location
Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
Contacts, photos, or any other data from your device

We do not use cookies, trackers, or any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs anywhere in the Application.

What Is Stored, and Where

To provide predictions, autocorrect, themes, and your other preferences, keyboard2 stores a small amount of data — but only locally, inside a private, sandboxed storage container on your own device that only keyboard2 can read. This includes:

Your settings — enabled languages, keyboard layout, theme, and other preferences you choose.
Locally learned words — as you type, keyboard2 may remember words and word pairs you use often, purely to improve its suggestions for you. This learning happens entirely on-device and is never uploaded anywhere.
Clipboard history — if you've granted Full Access (see below), recently copied text is kept locally so you can paste it again later.

None of this data leaves your device. We cannot see it, access it, or be asked to hand it over, because it is never sent to us in the first place.

Full Access (iOS Keyboard Permission)

iOS requires every third-party keyboard to ask for an optional permission called "Allow Full Access," and shows a standard system warning about it — this warning is the same for every third-party keyboard on the App Store, not something specific to keyboard2.

In keyboard2, granting Full Access only enables: haptic feedback, cutting/copying/pasting with the system-wide clipboard (and clipboard history), and letting the keyboard appear in system search fields (like Spotlight). Typing, predictions, autocorrect, and swipe typing all work fully offline whether or not Full Access is granted, and Full Access does not give keyboard2 internet access or let it send anything you type off your device.

Network Access

keyboard2 does not use the internet to power typing, predictions, autocorrect, or swipe typing. All 34 language dictionaries are bundled inside the app itself — nothing is downloaded before or during use.

The only network activity anywhere in the Application is:

Communicating with Apple's App Store servers (via Apple's StoreKit framework) to verify a purchase or subscription — this is handled entirely by Apple, and is the standard mechanism every App Store app uses for in-app purchases.
Opening a link you explicitly tap (for example, this Privacy Policy or Apple's Terms of Use) in your device's browser.

Neither of these involves anything you type, and neither sends any of your personal data to us.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

keyboard2 is free to download; some features require a subscription or one-time purchase after your first hour of use. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction data is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy.

keyboard2 stores only your entitlement status (for example, whether premium features are unlocked, and until when) locally on your device, so the app knows what to unlock. This status is not shared with us or with anyone else.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. Since the Application does not collect personal data from any user, this protection applies equally regardless of age.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because nothing is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain. Everything the Application stores lives on your device. You can delete all of it at any time by deleting the Application — this removes all settings, learned words, and clipboard history stored by keyboard2.

Your Rights

TechAmigos OÜ is based in Estonia, in the European Union. Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, requests to access, export, or erase it are already satisfied — we have nothing to give you, because we never received anything. Links to Other Websites

The Application may contain links (for example, to this Privacy Policy or to Apple's Terms of Use) that open in your device's browser, outside of keyboard2. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external site you visit this way.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
